How AI will Change Education

In the future, AI can completely change today’s education, and we will be able to learn what we really want to learn.

The biggest issue of the present school education is that students have to spend too much time on “memorizing”. In history classes, for example, what teachers require us to do is just memorizing tons of historical terms. Moreover, once we manage to memorize them, we seldom use them in our daily life. Then what is the meaning of doing such a stupid thing? What if we could use that time for learning what we truly like or want to do?

As AI technology improves, I think it will be possible that a micro chip or something attached to our brain automatically analyzes what kind of situation the person is in and what information is needed. Suppose you are watching a historical movie, but don’t remember its historical background, then AI will immediately send your brain a detail of the era. It looks like continually searching for the internet not on line, but in your head. If you can google whenever you want, even when you don’t bring your smartphone or PC with you, the process of “memorizing” is not necessary any more.

This technology can change the school education because students will have a plenty of time that they once spent on memorizing. What do they do with that time? It really depends on the personality of each students. Sport, art, music, cooking, fashion, business, and everything. Even those who don’t have any hobby can soon find what they want to do because AI will automatically provide them with basic information of anything. Then what happens? We are all enable to engage in self-realization!
