ScheduleMii: An application of Cognitive Design

In my life the one idiosyncrasy that has always followed me has been with keeping myself on a tight schedule. This comes with lots of drawbacks, including that I don’t get enough sleep, I wake up really late, and don’t have time for things that are important to me. One might think with all of the millions of apps on the market, I might find a remedy, but I have yet to find one that actually has a cognitive AI that could learn my schedule. But all that could be changed with ScheduleMii!

ScheduleMii is an app that first learns what kind of person you are though a series of initial questions: a student, parent, boss, ect. Knowing this it will prioritize tightness or leniency of your schedule. This app will then sync itself to your chosen sources of calendar information, and your GPSlocations. Starting at the beginning of your day, as long as you had your phone on your bed throughout sleep, ScheduleMii will be able to detect the optimal time to wake you up, and depending on how long it takes you to get out of bed it will use this information later to give you more sleep while taking away time from other activities. Once done, ScheduleMii will alert you to complete all basic grooming tasks, alerting you to when you are about to run late. Once out the door, ScheduleMii will calculate the optimal route based on google maps, even specifying certain modes of travel depending on how fast you need to be there.

When on the go the app will run through numerous calculations to figure out the best short distance trip to get to the place you need to get to.

Unlike most other apps, ScheduleMii will find time slots in your schedule to have lunch breaks, or relaxing time. These processes are continued all the way throughout your day, even reserving special times to spend on things you value. By the end of the day the app will alert you to when it is time to go to bed depending on when your tasks were completed, but will always make sure you get at least eight hours of sleep. When you finally enter your bed you can then rate the quality of your schedule, specifying where you think you need more time, and ScheduleMii will take this into account and generate an even more effective day for tomorrow.

With a cognitive AI app like ScheduleMii the days of us being late to meeting, school, or missing out on sleep. The app continuously is learning your habits and compensates time periods for you to do the things you always wanted to do but had no time for. Given that sleep deprivation is a prime cause for people to have their schedules thrown completely off, this app integrates multiple apps that already exist into one robust AI that learns your schedule better than you do, and alerts you to more effective solutions. Giving you the upper hand to your most efficient day!

One of the most pervasive parts of this AI is that it will monitor your step count throughout the day to see if you need more exercise. Based on the route you take to commute, it will also show you a list of recommended restaurants that fit your particular style, and reserve times for lunch breaks.Since most people find it hard throughout the day to find a good time to exercise, this app finds a time in your schedule isolated from work where a substantial workout time could be implemented. After a while the app will recognize how the exercise is affecting your sleep schedule and if it is altering the performance of your work. If so it will work directly with you to implement other forms of healthy living thought your day. This way you are not only accelerating your work performance but also your own health consciousness.
