Visionary Ideas for AI

This a an exiting time to be an artificial intelligence engineer.

Approximately one month ago, I agree to serve as the Austin chapter organizer for the School of AI (my formal title is “dean of the School of AI,” but I find this title pretentious). This journey has been both nerve wrecking and exiting. It has forced me to dramatically increase my competence in the AI space, and to become more cognizant of the latest projects in the AI development community.

I believe that the marriage of blockchain and AI will provide the greatest benefits for society at large. My I have two AI projects in mind.

The first is to produce an e-commerce sight that uses blockchain in supply chain management. This will allow consensus consumers to trace the origins of their products. AI would do the marketing, reliving mankind of this field of work. Products would be delivered through self-driving cars and autonomous planes, speeding up delivery time, and reducing costs. My target audience would be the Millennials and GenX, as they are more socially and environmentally conscious. They will also live longer, and more more worth the investment of my time. They would enjoy the low costs and transparency of this new and disruptive model. This project would eliminate transportation jobs, but these jobs are tedious and unhealthy for human bodies. New jobs will be created, and I am not concerned with the elimination of existing jobs.

My other idea is to use NLP to process articles and create professional quality research papers. This could be used for international relations research, or capstone papers. My target would be academics, who would save an incredible amount of time by not writing papers.
