Biological and artificial neural networks | Protagonist Science

Our world is full of patterns

Neural network based pattern-recognition algorithms have taken the world by storm in many unexpected ways. Because of their similarity to our neurobiology, they can produce both eerily similar outcomes to human actions, or interfere with human cognitive processes on a scale hitherto unimagined. What does it mean for us and our future? Only one thing remains certain. We can’t turn back the clock.
