A Kimono Day in Kyoto

We dressed up in Kimono’s

Now that we’re engaged we can do things like have an engagement photo shoot in kimonos. The advantage of doing a photoshoot in the morning is that the kimono rental lasts all day until the shop closes at 8pm-ish. After we said goodbye to our excellent AirBnB Experience photographer, we stayed at the Kyoto Imperial Palace gardens to take some more of our own photos.

The sky was beginning to become grey, but that didn’t stop us from getting some dramatic shots.

Later we explored other parts of Kyoto. We tried to visit a few temples but they were closing just as we were arriving. Eventually we made our way down to Gion and walked the streets there, completing our triage of gardens, shrines, and street photography.
