Inside the Best Coworking Spaces in Thailand

Travelling in Thailand doesn’t mean that it’s all fun and games. Self-funding your travel with remote work? The best coworking spaces in Thailand are probably high on your priority list.

As every digital nomad knows, a great working environment is essential. Effective WiFi and awesome coffee makes running your digital marketing empire a lot easier. This is especially important if you’re coworking in Thailand.

Staying in Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai, there are coworking spaces are springing up across the country. With loads of new options, it’s not easy to choose favourites. But here are some of Bodega Hostels’ go to options for coworking spaces in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket:

Party at Bodega Bangkok; Work at The Company

Staying in Bodega Bangkok? Your best option for a coworking space in Bangkok will then have to be The Company Bangkok.

We’re pretty biased. It’s so good that we’ve officially partnered with them. The added bonus is that they’re literally just down the road from Bodega Bangkok.

The top selling point for The Company has to be the internet. Connectivity in Thailand can be problematic to say the least. This is not the case at The Company where it is not only consistent, we’d say it’s EXCELLENT. Internet connectivity like this is what we aspire to at Bodega Bangkok. For this reason alone, we’d suggest that you take some time out and drop by even if you aren’t working. Hey, still haven’t seen the last episode of Game of Thrones, grab a coffee while it’s buffering (almost instantaneously with no spoilers!!).

Space and vibe has been carefully considered by The Company. Not only in Bangkok, you’ll find them across ASEAN. A big draw for Thai celebrities and their groupies, The Company hub is full on. It can be both hectic and super chill at the same time. On your own and need to escape from it all, why not book a private room? Travelling with your own entourage and want to do some serious business, the meeting rooms are an ideal option.

Of course, the real draw to The Company is their Private Video Production Studio. OMG — green with envy!! Seriously, they’ve got a green screen, sound proofing and proper lighting. Everything you need if you’re travel vlogging your way round Thailand. While you’re there, get networking. The place is jammed with loads of other talented bloggers and smart influencers. Creating cool content is the order of the day.

Since you’ve booked with Bodega, we know you love a good party. But if you’re working, you want to do that little bit more effectively. To help with this, we’ve championed a discount rate with The Company. Instead of the usual day price of 400baht, you’ll pay only 300baht for the day. You might even been lucky to catch Chris Tweten, our marketing director. On a regular basis, he runs marketing strategy workshops onsite. Stay posted!!

An extra tip. If you’re upscaling from coworking space to meeting venues, check out EventBanana. The in-house catering service is definitely the icing on the cake in making your life easier.

Connecting In Chiang Mai as a Digital Nomad

Chiang Mai is Digital Nomad Central. You’ve great coworking spaces and up-to-date facilities to match. Thailand, and specifically Chiang Mai, is well-known for having the fastest internet speeds.

Coworking spaces are not everyone’s cup of tea as they can be vibey (noisy), great networking locations (lots of people and impossible to get a spot) and free water (just a water cooler at the far end of the room). Chiang Mai coworking literally has something for everyone. Hardcore in your work ethic, Punspace Nimman is the place for you. That’s where our marketing director, Chris Tweten, heads. Otherwise, you can just hang with some like-minded folk (in a treehouse at CAMP).

Getting away from all the clichéd environments, MANA does the job. Funnily enough, it means ‘determined effort’ in Thai). Small and bright, it serves great coffee. Digital nomads will appreciate the lumbar support chairs. You know that feeling after one too many sessions with a computer perched on your knees. At 19baht an hour, MANA coworking is at the lower end of the market; but then again, what do you pay for quiet.

Work Hard, Play Hard in Phuket

Heading down to Phuket for some r’n’r but still on a deadline? No fear. It might not be your idea of digital nomad heaven after Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Honestly, these days there’s plenty on offer in the way of coworking spaces in Phuket.

Once upon a time ago, Phuket was all about getting down and drunk on Bangla Road. Though the party ain’t over, there’s a work ethic thing going down. Daytime drink is being replaced by daytime “getting shit done”. Come the end of the day, it’s back to how it should be. Get the beers in!!

And if getting shit done is on your agenda, CocoWorking Space has to be your first point of call. Located in the Cocoville Boutique Villas Resort, you’ll make things happen here. Especially as the WiFi is so super fast.

Extended opening hours at CocoWorking gives you time to focus on your projects. Particularly as there are few distractions. As it is off the well-trodden path of other coworking spaces, you won’t find it crammed full of other digital nomads. If anything, you’ll could be surrounded by gym bunnies. CocoWorking is located on Soi Ta-aid, better known as ‘Fitness Street’. Time to get pumping.
