4 Ways to Experience HBO’s Silicon Valley in Real Life

Our startup, based in Silicon Valley, is determined to bring HBO’s popular show to life for two college students. Dubbing it “The Silicon Valley Experience”, we are hosting a raffle for an all-expenses-paid trip with a day full of attractions pulled straight from scenes from the HBO TV show. The trip is fully funded by us, CampusKudos, a networking site for college students to connect with alumni for career advice, and includes the following things:

1. Hooli Visit

As fans of the HBO show would know, the show’s main character Richard Hendricks is a former employee of technology giant Hooli, run by the eccentric Gavin Belson. The Silicon Valley Experience promises an insider’s tour to its real-life counterpart: Google.

2. Erlich Bachmann’s Incubator

Never been in an overpopulated startup office/house/incubator? Fear not. The Silicon Valley Experience involves one night’s accommodation at our trailer park headquarters, where our seed stage startup is operating…and living. You will get to meet our team and maybe eat ramen.

3. Russ Hanneman’s Favorite Night Spot

Remember the scene in Season 2 where angel investor/ Mark Cuban parody Russ Hanneman sped his car around in rage? That’s the Rosewood Hotel — a Thursday night favorite of many VCs (and the “3 comma club”) and a notorious destination for Valley hookups.

4. Jared’s Dreaded Self-Driving Car

The Silicon Valley Experience includes a free trip to the Computer History Museum, where a Self-Driving Car is on display. Who knows — you might even get to go on for a short ride. Just don’t get stranded on an island 4000 miles away.
