How Does One Write for “Adventures in Consumer Technology?”

As you may know, most anyone can submit their prose to Medium. Yet, the process for submitting to a specific Publication runs the gamut. Some owners/editors make it easy, others make it difficult. I’m in the former category in that I seek and savor the diversity of topics that cross my inbox on any given day.

With that said, I do not accept every submission into “Adventures in Consumer Technology.” Submissions I reject include those:

— that do not have an individual’s name associated with it.

— that are focused on enterprise technology (vs. consumer tech).

— that overtly promote a particular app or piece of hardware or software with which the writer is commercially affiliated.

— whose grammar and ease of reading leave something to be desired

— which use AI to generate their story

That said, I’ve gone ahead and pre-approved those writers whose work I’ve already reviewed and posted in the publication. If you are not a previously-published contributor to “Adventures in Consumer Technology,” please feel free to submit your work to me via email at: peter[dot]himler[at]gmail[dot]com, and provide your Medium handle.

Once you’re authorized to submit, please go ahead and post to ACT. I’ll then review, comment, edit as needed, before accepting (or rejecting).

Thank you!
