Snapchat (NYSE: SNAP) has long been known for stepping outside of the box when it comes to hardware. It began in 2016 when they released their first version of Spectacles — a pair of sunglasses with a built-in camera. Since then, Snap has released 2 more versions of the Spectacles, each one getting a little bit better. But even as intriguing as Spectacles are, they never appeared to catch on as anything more than a fad.
