I had a good thing going
Hanging out with today,
But I was told there was
Something else out there.
So I briefly courted yesterday
Until I realized, she had a way
Of constantly slipping away.
Then I tried getting to know
Mistress tomorrow.
Mysteriously seductive
She proved quite elusive,
Promising the world
Never living up to her word.
So, begging for forgiveness
I made my return to today,
I was welcomed with tenderness
Now I am here to stay.
