In Estella for the night

I made great time walking mostly with an occupational therapist from Colorado. The kilometers flew by as we talked about being on the Camino. She is very active and just climbed Pike’s Peak. She’s very grateful for the gift of life, having recovered from a debilitating illness two years ago. She is amazed to be able to even walk. It’s just a reminder that each moment of life should savored.

I am spending the night in a simple albergue run by the local parish. It is very different from the modern accommodations I have experienced up to now. This just felt like the place I was supposed to be, so here I am. They don’t even charge officially. They accept donativos, according to your ability and inclination to pay.
