The Nexus 6 is Motorola’s super-sized flagship built specifically for Google. It touts blistering internals, attractive build quality, and subtle curves. There is a lot to like about the Nexus 6. Here are the top five features of the Nexus 6 hardware

Screen

One of the main selling points for the Nexus 6 is the screen. The Nexus 6 touts a gorgeous 5.96 inch 2560x1440 screen. While the screen is immensely large, it still has a a PPI of 493. Details, colors, and text are all crisp and vivid. The Nexus 6 screen is also AMOLED, which allows for true blacks and great outdoor visibility. Due to the large screen, the size of the phone is immensely large. If you are okay with a large phone, the screen size is delightful for content consumption and reading.

Front Facing Speakers

I was never one to care much for phone speakers. If I wanted to show a video to more than one person, I would open up my laptop or tablet. The front facing speakers on the Nexus 6 have changed my perspective. The speakers are loud and pretty accurate for phone speakers. I can easily share a YouTube video or a song with a small crowd with no issues. Combine the front facing speakers with the aforementioned large screen. It is a media consuming champ.

Design

The way a phone is built is a huge factor for most. If the phone feels like it is made of soggy index cards, things will quickly go downhill. Luckily, the Motorola made Nexus 6 is a tank. The Nexus 6 has a sturdy metal trim, making the device rigid and unbendable. The slight ergonomic curve of the Nexus 6 makes it a phone that is a pleasure to use in the hand(or hands). The phone is modeled after the Moto X, which is a very good thing. The Nexus 6 was designed with ergonomics and comfort in the hand as the main focus. Seeing as the Nexus 6 is large, the ergonomic design choice was fantastic.

Quick Charge 2.0

I still wish that phones could go two days without a charge. But that seems to be a pipe dream in this day and age. There are two ways to alleviate the pain that low battery signals bring. The first, is a gigantic battery, which the Nexus 6 does indeed have. The second, is a technology called Quick Charge from Qualcomm. Quick Charge essentially allows your device to charge up at a higher voltage. While Quick Charge is not designed to be an everyday charging solution, and rather used in a pinch. It fully charges the 3220mAh battery of the Nexus 6 in an hour and a half.

Dimple

The original Moto X style dimple is present on the Nexus 6. It’s a small, subtle addition to the design of the phone. But it is so comfortable to use. While it won’t revolutionize the way you use your Nexus 6. You will miss having a small dimple when you use another phone.

The Nexus 6 is a fantastic piece of hardware. It has fantastic build quality, design, a great screen, and loud front facing speakers. There are a lot of things to love about the Nexus 6, but from a hardware perspective, these are the top five.
