Year In Review 2019
Today I’m introducing Year in Review, where every year we will recap what has happened throughout the year. This year in specific was brilliant for AYS all around so let’s dive into that.
As soon as we started the year 2019, we hit 11,000 members. That’s an incredible number for a server in this category (advertising). That means 11,000 people enjoy using our services at that time.
After that, we introduced Raid Response: the Discord server protection bot. Basically what that bot does after it’s all configured is that if it detects an oncoming raid, you can sound the alarm and specialists from AYS Staff will protect your server. Pretty neat, don’t you think?
We also introduced AYS Month in Review. This is basically where we recap what’s happened during the month. The reason why we haven’t made a post since February though is because we’ve been busy working on very nice stuff for AYS this year that we didn’t have time for MIR. 2020 will guarantee a whole-year-around Month in Review though, so don’t worry!
AYS Podcast is something else we launched after MIR. This is basically where some of our staff get together in a voice chat and discuss future/current plans for AYS. Liam v3 was also introduced in 2019. We majorly updated the bot in December 2019 and improved it overall. We better optimized the bot and made it more user-friendly which is key for user satisfaction. The feedback has been great overall for Liam v3 and we consider this to be a success.
Small Servers Program is also something we invented in 2019. Our dedicated team of staff for the program can help your server reach 100 members quickly and make your Discord server nicer. We have a free plan as well as paid plans for better support.
AYB was created in 2019. This is like Advertise Your Server, but to advertise your bot, hence the name Advertise Your Bot or AYB. We have channels to suit the category that you want to advertise your bot in.
Most importantly, AYS turned 2 years old on Discord. 2 years of great service to everyone, patrons, and members. When I created the server back in July 2017, I didn’t think it would last that long: but look where we are now. 2 years. In those 2 years, we’ve had many ups and downs, but we’re still here and stronger than ever. For that reason, I would like to say thank you to everyone. Here’s to another year!
We’ve also introduced AYS Merchandise: a nice way to rep your support for AYS. We’ve updated the merch styles over the months, to suit everyone’s tastes.
Another thing that happened as well is Discord Expert and AYB Listing: Discord Expert being a Discord Server List website and AYB Listing being a Discord Bot List website. They have both been released and have had over 400 servers added in the first month on release. We are currently reworking both of those websites though, so you might not see updates until then.
AYS Research has been an ongoing project for many months for us, so we have decided the world should see what we do, we have created a site for all of our AYS Research, https://research.ays.network
Late 2019, we created the Advertise Your Reddit subreddit. This is a place to advertise your subreddit easily. We grew the subreddit from 0 to 100 members during its first month of release. You can join at https://reddit.com/r/advertiseyourserver
