Valentin is our Product Manager and a really awesome guy! A deep thinker and a super nice and knowledgable person. So why keep him all to ourselves? We are pleased to introduce you Valentin:
Short introduction: who are you and what do you do at æternity Ventures?
Blockchain and crypto are my passion since the early years of Bitcoin when only some crazy people believed in it. I am a long time apps architect and software developer. I am inspired by the vision of blockchain society and I am interested in finding use cases to apply this novel technology towards this vision.
How does a normal working day at æternity Ventures look like for you?
I research whitepapers of apps and analyse them from technical perspective. With some of them I have calls and meetings. It is cutting edge technology so I keep myself up to date with the latest developments in the industry.
What inspires you to work at æternity Ventures?
My passion are the applications of the blockchain concepts to improve the society. The goal of æternity Ventures is exactly that — to invest in such apps. This is perfect alignment.
How did you end up in the blockchain community?
I had already thought about some of the problems in the society for long time, when I read about Bitcoin. It was AHA moment — this was the key that will enable the creation of new solutions and the whole fabric of society to be uplifted on an entire new level. So I have spent all my time to research and learn everything about these novel concepts and the technology. I have lived through all ups and downs in the Bitcoin community in its early years.
What is your favorite part of the job?
Supporting the development and the growth of blockchain apps that can have huge impact around the world.
What is your favourite way to wind down? How do you recharge?
Travelling. Meeting people with higher purpose in life.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
For me the people are important. Wherever I can meet people following their dreams is a good place to be.

What is your secret talent?
To organize chaos.
What superpower would you like to have?
To sing and play musical instruments.
