aelf Attended the National Standards Compilation Meeting of “Information Technology Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Reference Architecture”

On September 20th, 2019, the National Standards Compilation Meeting of “Information Technology Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Reference Architecture” organized by CESI (China Electronics Technology Standardization Research Institute) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was held in Shanghai. Zongzhe Huang, Technical Ecosystem Director of aelf, was invited to attend the meeting, alongside senior experts from the People’s Bank of China, China Securities Regulatory Commission, Nanjing and Fudan Universities, and other enterprises and institutions.

The National Standards Compilation Meeting focused on the national standard of Information Technology Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Reference Architecture. The meeting included discussions around the following aspects:

User view and functional view of the blockchain reference architecture
User view contains roles, sub-roles and their activities, and relationships between roles
Functional view contains functional components and their specific functions
Relationships between functional components

Experts and scholars conducted a rigorous analysis and in-depth demonstration on “Information Technology Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Reference Architecture”. Huang actively participated in the discussion before casting his vote for the final decision. Experts and scholars shared their own opinions, provided and exchanged revision opinions from different industry perspectives, and clarified the preparation plan for the next step.

As an emerging technology, blockchain has a wide range of applications in the fields of financial services, supply chain management, entertainment, intelligent manufacturing, social welfare, and education employment. The standardization of blockchain helps to unify the understanding of blockchain, guide blockchain applications in various industries, and promote key technical issues of blockchain.
