Welcome to the 14th edition of the aelf Monthly Digest, covering the developments and progress made in August 2023. This report provides an overview of the advancements in aelf’s technology, product updates, and ecosystem development during the past month.
Technology:
aelf Explorer v1.3.3
aelf explorer has been upgraded to v1.3.3, introducing substantial enhancements in support of smart contract wallets (AA wallets). This version empowers smart contract accounts to engage in aelf governance by voting for candidate nodes. Developers can also seamlessly deploy and update contracts on aelf using these accounts. The login interface has been refined for seamless user interaction, accommodating both wallet extension and Web2 information logins. Considering its user-friendliness and security, the AA wallet is expected to play a significant role as a growth catalyst for aelf blockchain. The enhanced AA support within aelf explorer further facilitates user and developer involvement in aelf’s governance and encourages active participation in the aelf ecosystem.
aelf-developer-tools Upgrade
When it comes to aelf developer tools, we have released a Docker image for local testing nodes, making it easy for users to start a local testing node with just one command. This will facilitate local testing and help users to quickly and easily test their applications.
The Docker image is available on Docker Hub and can be used with any Docker-compatible environment. To get started, simply pull the image and run it. Once the container is running, you will have a fully functional local testing node that you can use to test your applications. This is a major improvement over the previous method of starting a local testing node. The new Docker image makes it easy for anyone to start a local testing node.
We are excited to release this new feature, and we believe that it will make it easier for users to test their applications and improve the quality of their code.
Ecosystem
aelevate Gaming Accelerates Growth of Blockchain Gaming Ecosystem
The aelevate Gaming program, launched last month, accepted some game studios to kickstart the creation and growth of a vibrant ecosystem on the aelf blockchain. The program provides grants of up to US$150,000 per game studio to support developers build and launch their games on the aelf platform.
The aelevate Gaming Program is open to all developers, providing support for all aspects of game development, including mentorship and networking opportunities with the aelf community. In addition, aelevate will support accepted studios in integrating with Portkey, our cutting-edge social recovery wallet. This will make it easy for players to store and trade in-game assets.
Applications are open, and projects are chosen on a rolling basis.

ABGA and BGA: Pivotal Partners in AELF’s Gaming Ecosystem
aelf, has partnered with the Asia Blockchain Game Alliance (ABGA) and the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) to bring blockchain gaming to the masses.
Through these alliances, aelf forms critical partnerships and collaborations within the global and Asian gaming sectors. ABGA provides a strategic gateway to the Asian gaming market, fostering region-specific collaborations. Meanwhile, BGA offers a global network, enabling aelf to expand its reach and engage in partnerships worldwide. These partnerships and collaborations enrich aelf’s gaming ecosystem, propelling it to new heights on both regional and global scales.

Blockchain Gaming Grand Prix: Accelerating to the Gaming Future
The Blockchain Gaming Grand Prix is a high-octane event that will bring together gamers, tech enthusiasts, and blockchain believers from all over the world to connect, share ideas, and explore the future of gaming. The event will feature a variety of activities, including go-kart racing, cutting-edge gaming competitions, and networking opportunities.
aelf will provide shuttle service from the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center to the Karting Arena @Jurong. This will allow attendees to relax and enjoy the ride while they get excited for the event.
