December 1, 2017
Chen Zhuling, co-founder and COO of aelf, introduced the project’s vision and planning to global investors at the Coindesk conference. aelf completed fund-raising ahead of schedule on December 10, and obtained investment from dozens of institutions including Huobi Capital, Binance, BlockTower, Arrington XRP Capital, Draper Dragon, Galaxy Digital, Node Capital, and Bitmain.
December 21, 2017
ELF was listed on crypto exchanges for the first time on this day. It was launched on six major exchanges, including Binance, OKEx, Huobi.pro, CEX, BCEX and Bibox.
January 24, 2018
ELF was officially listed on Bitfinex trading platform. It only took a little more than 30 days for ELF to land on the world’s largest Bitcoin exchange since its initial launch.
May 3, 2018
In Singapore, aelf announced the establishment of an innovation alliance with Signum Capital, Huobi Lab, Michael Arrington, FBG capital and Roland Berger, and the collaboration in blockchain cross-domain research.

The successful launch of the aelf testnet marks that the infrastructure of the aelf network has begun to take shape. It also means that the development of aelf has entered a new stage, which is one of the important processes in the transition to the main network.
August 8, 2018
The TPS data of the aelf testnet was published for the first time, which was 14,968 times per second. This test verified the parallel execution capability in a stand-alone case and the scalability in a cluster environment. The test data excited the Korean market and caused a heated discussion among users around the world.
November 2018
aelf reached a strategic cooperation with Connect Global Strategies, a digital currency investment consultancy in Dubai. The two parties exchanged views on multiple blockchain applications in the Middle East, including retail payments, land registration, business registration, and personal identity management, and will start regional cooperation.

ELF was listed on Bittrex, the largest digital asset trading platform in the US, and the ELF/BTC trading pair has been opened.

aelf Enterprise v0.7.0 passed the standard test of functional architecture in “Blockchain Reference Architecture” issued by China Electronics Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and obtained the blockchain system function test certificate issued by them.

aelf Enterprise 0.7.0 beta version landed and is now running on Microsoft Azure, the world’s leading public cloud computing platform.
August 20, 2019
Amaten, the largest gift card exchange platform in Japan, officially announced that its long-term strategic cooperation with aelf. Amaten will deploy its own smart contract based on the underlying blockchain technology of aelf, and launch the first gift card market based on blockchain technology.

“Standard for Blockchain-based Digital Asset Identification” has passed the audit of IEEE SA Standard Committee and has been officially approved. The standard establishes the methods and practices for the classification and identification of crypto assets, the standards for digital asset exchange model etc., and digital asset identification specification was proposed.

During this period, aelf successfully completed the first cross-chain transfer test of large assets through Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol ( CCTP), and the $100,000 heterogeneous chain cross-chain transfer transaction has set a new record for blockchain network transaction.

aelf launched the first DeFi project based on the aelf network-AESwap, which is equipped with complete DeFi supporting infrastructure, including cross-chain assets, interoperability solutions, stable coins, etc.
September 9, 2020
aelf launched SashimiSwap, an Ethereum-based DeFi project with no pre-mining and no team share. Within 24 hours of its launch, SashimiSwap reached second place in the Ethereum transaction volume rankings, and the locked-up volume and trading volume have exceeded $120 million and $100 million respectively. Later, aelf also upgraded Sashimi several times, aiming to build a user-friendly DeFi platform that provides liquid assets of all sorts.

The aelf Public Testnet Code Audit Bounty Program was successfully concluded, with the winner being the security audit team of SlowMist Technology, which provided a reliable security guarantee for the launch of the aelf mainnet.

aelf announced the date of the mainnet launch and released the updated mainnet launch roadmap, which has attracted great attention of community users around the world and also meant that the next journey was about to start.
