“Legend X” Hackathon to be Formally Launched, Spurring the Wave of Web 3.0

With the pre-registration in full swing, Legend X has received dozens of application forms from both individual hackers and developer teams. The submission portal will close upon the formal launch of the event, meaning that there isn’t much time left for community invitation so members need to hurry to seize their last opportunity. There is much more to expect in our formal event as attendees can get the utmost assistance from our supporting staff. Also, aelf communities can then start voting for projects they favor or advocating the event on social media to win our awesome incentive prizes. Can’t wait to learn what’s waiting ahead? The formal registration is significantly different, or, to be more accurate, IMPROVED, compared with pre-registration in various aspects. For starters, the portal is changed from Google Forms to aelf’s hackathon site. More detailed information can be collected and an overview of current progress will be available. Secondly, there will be workshops by aelf’s developer teams that aim to troubleshoot and facilitate the attendees’ experience of deploying onto aelf. And, most importantly, attendees will be under scrutiny and only those qualified hackers can successfully complete their submissions. Seeming a bit intimidating perhaps, but don’t fret, here is a comprehensive list of rules to walk you through all the procedures.

The total amount of prizes supplied is over $500,000 worth of ELF, eligible for competitors in all eight tracks. Grant Pool and Seed Fund would be allocated to the most promising projects and there will be NFT [Arcane] badges as well as honors for all award-winning projects.

Submission Requirements

The hackathon is open to a variety of developers and innovators as long as you have a feasible solution to address blockchain’s issues, complement aelf ecosystem, or bring revolution to the industry. To participate, attendees should submit the following materials:

1) A project written in C# and capable of fully running and functioning on aelf chain;

2) The URL of a demo video (3 mins) that fully illustrates the philosophy, functionality, and blueprint of the project; (the video should be uploaded to YouTube, made public, and named following the format “aelf PROJECT NAME” or “$ELF PROJECT NAME”);

3) Open-source projects should provide a public repository (like GitHub) where the source code is stored. For closed-source projects, access to the code should be given to judges;

4) Introduction of the attendees;

5) Contact information;

Please note:

All materials submitted should be in English or, if in other languages, with additional translated English scripts attached;

Though we highly appreciate the participation of former participants, these attendees must have their original projects modified by more than 50% to join this event.

All attendees must submit their original works and any party intending to submit more than one project must ensure that the other works are unique and substantially different from each other;

Attendees should promise that the project or reference materials submitted must not violate the intellectual property rights of any parties, otherwise they will be disqualified from participating.
