It’s been a spectacular week in the City of Light where we were a Gold sponsor at NFT Paris 2024 and hosted 2 side events, which saw more than 10,000 attendees and more than 600 Proof of Attendance (POA) NFTs minted. Blockchain Brews & Bits: A Web3 Gaming Happy Hour 🕹️
At the start of NFT Paris week, we had the pleasure of co-hosting the Blockchain Brews & Bits: A Web3 Gaming Happy Hour 🕹️ held at The Sandbox’s office on February, 21st. This event provided a splendid opportunity for attendees to mingle with leading figures in the Web3 gaming domain, fostering genuine connections in an atmosphere free from the usual conference distractions of panels and speeches.
Attendees were treated to an exquisite selection of finger foods, embracing the quintessential Parisian fare of cheese and wine, complemented by a variety of beverages. The evening was marked by an air of excitement and the spirit of collaboration, setting a high bar for the rest of the week’s activities.
BGA x aelf Connects Paris
The BGA x aelf Connects Paris, co-hosted with the Blockchain Game Alliance, was a day-long gathering on February 22nd that attracted NFT enthusiasts, game developers, and industry leaders. The event also attracted big Web3 players like Animoca Brands, Aavegotchi, The Sandbox and many other drivers of the space.
The event buzzed with excitement as attendees from across the globe converged in the heart of Paris to celebrate the intersection of blockchain technology and gaming. Throughout the day, passionate discussions, pitching sessions, and thought-provoking panels ignited sparks of creativity and innovation, shaping the future of the gaming industry.
Our Senior Unity Engineer, Zhi Feng, participated in the panel discussion “Will Players Finally Catch the Web3 Buzz in 2024?” which explored the potential for players to embrace Web3 gaming in 2024 while Linda Ang, our Head of Strategy, delved into the key success factors for Web3 gaming during her panel discussion titled “Ingredients of Success for Web3 Gaming”.
The event culminated in a networking cocktail from 6–10 pm, exclusively for BGA members, fostering connections and discussions in an informal setting. Beyond gaming, this day epitomised a jubilant celebration of the boundless spirit, innovation, and collective vision driving the future of Web3 gaming.
NFT Paris 2024
Once again, our Head of Strategy, Linda Ang, took centre stage at the Main Stage for an exhilarating panel titled “Inside the Mind of a Web3 Gamer”, where she deep-dived into the psyche and motivations of Web3 gamers and the impact of NFTs and blockchain on the future of gaming. More than 2,000 attendees of NFT Paris 2024 stopped by our aelf booth to snag some aelf swag by downloading the Portkey wallet and claiming our exclusive aelf in Paris Proof of Attendance NFT, but the star activity at our booth was our hourly ELF raffle draws!
With an electrifying turnout of over 600 participants across 11 raffle draws, the excitement was palpable as 33 lucky winners claimed their share of the 550 ELF prize pool. Huge congratulations to our fortunate aelfies!
