Star Atlas Story Writing Competition — Cast Your Vote!
Roughly two weeks ago Grape & Aephia Industries kicked off their short story-writing competition, set within the Star Atlas metaverse. The enthusiasm with which this has been received has been truly mindblowing!
During the past 10 days, over 25 stories have been submitted for this first-ever competition, focussed on the Rebirth campaign that occurred earlier this year. This is a tremendous success and clearly demonstrates there is a lot of creative talent within the Star Atlas community!
Voting
Now that the deadline for submitting stories is in the past, it’s time to look ahead! First off, the community has (at the time of publishing this) close to 40 hours left to show their appreciation for these submissions, through voting on any story they like by leaving a ❤️ reaction beneath the (last) post.
The deadline for voting is September 23rd at 0:00 UTC. So now you know what to do during your next lunch break ;-)
Following this round of community voting, the 10 stories with the most hearts will then be forwarded to our expert jury, who will read them all personally and collectively choose their top 3!
How to vote
In order to be able to read all the stories and vote on your favorites, head to Grape’s Discord server and check out the #atlassian-writing-contest channel.
Note that, unlike the participants, you will not need to own any NFT’s. However, you will need to have:
- a verified wallet in the Grape Discord
Jury
For this competition, we found 3 well-known members of the Star Atlas development team willing to take it upon them to read and rank these stories. Though “willing” does not really cover it, they were quite enthusiastic!
Pablo Quiroga (aka Starsapa / Twitter)
One of the co-founders of Star Atlas and its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), this man is known for his deep philosophical, and spiritual perspective when discussing Star Atlas. He is also always willing to take a few hours to discuss the deeper meaning of launching this metaverse ;-) You no doubt know him from Townhalls and the occasional AMA’s or panel discussions he pops up in!
Matej Mavec (aka Star Savage / Twitter)
Matej might be most famous within the community for his DJ-skills, cheering up the more recent Townhalls and special events. But he is also responsible for publishing all those articles you find on the team’s Medium page, spilling fat alpha and interesting perspectives to the crowd! His official title is Head of Communications, Research & Innovation.
Santiago Accomo (aka Santiacc / Twitter)
And last but not least, the man who needs no introduction, Santi! Managing the community, protecting it from harm, this man works 24/7 to make sure the community stays happy and informed. His official title is Marketing and Community Coordinator.
Participants
The jury has the final verdict on who is going to bring home those wonderful prizes, but it all began with the wonderful stories written by members of our community. Thank you all for participating and choosing to spend some of your precious time, writing these awesome stories!
