지난 2018년 8월 11일, 서울대학교 글로벌 컨벤션 플라자에서 디퍼런스(DE-FERENCE) 2018 행사가 열렸습니다. 디퍼런스는 서울대학교 블록체인 학회 디사이퍼에서 처음으로 주최한 컨퍼런스입니다.
On August 11th, DE-FERENCE 2018 was held at Seoul National University. DE-FERENCE is the first conference held by Decipher, Seoul National University’s blockchain society.
첫 행사임에도 디사이퍼의 높은 성장세를 반영하듯 HASHED와 CHAINERS 등 많은 국내 블록체인 업계 관계자들이 참여했습니다. 블로코 역시 이번 행사에 참여하여 그동안의 엔터프라이즈 블록체인 시장경험을 공유했습니다.
Despite the fact that it was only the first conference held by Decipher, many industry officials from different blockchain companies including HASHED and CHAINERS attended the event. And of course, Blocko shared its experience in implementing blockchain-based enterprise solutions and services to the market.
디퍼런스는 신규 프로젝트에 대한 설명이나 홍보보다는 기술적인 부분에 대한 고민과 해결방안, 다양한 구축 사례들에 대해 논의하고 토론하는 자리로 마련됐습니다. 특히, 블록체인 기술의 사업적인 측면보다 기술적인 부문에 집중해 여타 다른 밋업과는 성격이 많이 달랐습니다.
DE-FERENCE was focused on analyzing the technical difficulties in blockchain implemtations and explore in-production use cases. Unlike other block chain summits and meetups, the attention was not on the business aspects, but rather on the core blockchain technology.
이번 디퍼런스에서 블로코와 AERGO의 박헌영 CTO는 “Blockch Technology for Enterprise Service”라는 주제로 ▲기업들이 블록체인을 도입하고자 하는 이유 ▲엔터프라이즈 블록체인 시장의 발전 ▲엔터프라이즈 블록체인 서비스를 구축하며 겪었던 어려움 등을 공유해 뜨거운 관심을 받았습니다.
Hun PARK, AERGO and Blocko CTO, delivered a presentation titled “Blockchain Technology for Enterprise Service” in which he discussed the barriers, gaps, and enablers against and for adopting the blockchain-based enterprise solutions.
박헌영 CTO는 블로코의 엔터프라이즈 블록체인 구축 경험을 토대로 블록체인 기술의 도입기를 총 3단계로 나누어 구분했습니다.
1. 분산 장부로서의 블록체인(Blockchain as Distributed Ledger Technology)
2. 스마트 컨트랙트의 활용(Smart Contracts)
3. 기업을 위한 새로운 모델(New Model for Enterprise)
Park CTO also organized the development of the enterprise blockchain implementation into three phases, based on the Blocko’s experience:
1) Blockchain as Distributed Ledger Technology,
2) Smart Contracts
3) New Model for Enterprise
먼저, ‘분산 장부로서의 블록체인’에서는 롯데카드와 삼성카드에 적용된 블록체인 아키텍쳐(블록체인 기반 생체인증)를 설명했습니다. 이어, 스마트 컨트랙트를 활용해 구축된 현대카드의 Vanless Payment System와 S그룹사의 내부망 연계 통합인증을 설명했습니다.
Firstly, he explained how Blocko implemented blockchain-based biometric authentification solution into Lotte Card and Samsung Card. He continued with vanless payment system adopted by Hyundai Card, and FIDO authentification with Single Sign-On(SSO) by one of the largest financial group in Korea — both of which are based on Blocko’s enterpries blockchain platform, Coinstack.
박헌영 CTO는 엔터프라이즈 블록체인의 핵심 요소로, 민감한 정보 처리와 안전성 및 완료성(Finality) 등을 꼽았으며, 구현 방식에 대해서도 설명이 이어졌습니다.
He, then, continued to explain the importance of sensetive information management, security and finality for enterprise blockchain.
평소에 듣기 힘들었던 블록체인 실제 적응 사례에 참가자들은 많은 관심을 가졌고, 이어지는 Panel Discussion에서 이를 반영하듯 많은 질문들이 쏟아졌습니다. 의료/건설 분야 블록체인 시스템 적용 방법, 기업과의 커뮤니케이션을 할 때 필요한 설득 논리, 기술적인 부분 등의 질문에 상세한 답변이 이어졌습니다. 정해진 세션 시간으로도 부족하여 이어지는 티타임에도 많은 질답을 가져야 했습니다.
The attendees paid rapt attention to his presentation. During the following panel discussion, they asked various questions including how to implement blockchain into medical/construction industry, how to persuade enterprises into deploying blockchain tech, and how to solve the technical difficulties.
오후 6시까지 이어지는 긴 행사시간 동안, 블로코와 AERGO의 부스에도 많은 참가자분들의 발걸음이 이어졌고 행사를 위해 특별히 준비한 기념품을 받아가셨습니다.
Many attendees had visited AERGO and Blocko booth to find out more on the platform, and received special gifts.
좋은 행사를 만들기 위해 노력한 많은 사람들과 열정적인 참가자분들로 행사장의 열기는 가득했으며, AERGO 팀도 향후에 있을 밋업이나 행사를 준비하는 데에 좋은 경험을 얻을 수 있었습니다.
