Flight Log Access Facilitates Monitoring, Maintenance & Compliance
Seven software partners now accept flight logs from DroneDeploy, one of many new features for enterprise
In the last year, the commercial drone space has seen phenomenal growth not only in overall drone adoption, but in the sophistication and size of businesses integrating drones in their workflows. Growing drone operations need tools that will grow with them to help manage expanding teams.
New Tools for Growing Teams
Today, we’re excited to announce important new tools to help businesses manage their teams, monitor fleet activity and ensure compliance.
Flight logs are here!
Flight logs are a vital record of flight activities often required for regulatory compliance and insurance, but for many drone pilots, the process of capturing and logging flight data has been a manual and tedious one. Fortunately, it just got a lot easier to log mapping flights and extract important insights.
Now, DroneDeploy users can access highly detailed automated logs of their mapping flights in DroneDeploy — containing GPS positioning, camera activity data and more — and easily import them to one of seven partners, where they can:
- Automate recording of all drone flights for compliance and insurance purposes
- Monitor equipment performance to recommend preventative maintenance
- Explore trends in flight characteristics to define best practices
Flight logs are accessible for all new flights flown with DroneDeploy once images are uploaded to the original flight plan and processed.
Manage Your Organization
The ability to access flight logs isn’t the only thing new in DroneDeploy. We’ve also added new frequently-requested capabilities to our Business and Enterprise plans, including the ability to add multiple team members to the same organization and payment plan and co-brand your DroneDeploy portal.
These changes are just the tip of the iceberg. We are building many more features today to empower the full-scale drone operations of tomorrow.
Meet Our Seven Flight Logs Partners

“Like DroneDeploy, we want to bubble up insights out of large data sets,” says Josh Ziering, Co-Founder of Kittyhawk. “By partnering, we’re excited to make it easy for pilots to gain insights not just from their sensor-derived data sets, but from their own fleets as well.”
NVdrones creates cloud-based software solutions for drone fleet management. The company provides a web and mobile app for drone pilots and businesses to efficiently manage their team whether they are in the office or in a remote field. NVdrones leverages flight logs to make it easier and more effective to keep tabs on your team and equipment. Flight logs automate logging and recording processes as well as offer drone businesses deeper insight about how they’re flying. Imagine the difference between logging all of your bank transactions manually vs. linking your bank account with accounting software.
“It’s been a pleasure to work together with DroneDeploy, who shares our vision for automated, intelligible, and insightful data,” said Kevin Mukai, co-founder of NVdrones. “Not only regarding data about farms or construction sites, but also regarding the drone and pilot themselves.”
The Skyward platform connects all the people, processes, and things involved in drone operations into one continuous workflow. Companies and fleet operators configure Skyward to meet their business requirements in order to run efficiently and easily manage complex processes. Companies that use drones save time and scale faster by relying on Skyward to connect all the people, processes, and equipment into one continuous workflow.
“Many large companies and enterprises are looking to scale their drone program and do it efficiently,” said Jonathan Evans, CEO of Skyward. “Now, with access to DroneDeploy flight logs, Skyward customers can manage flight information across their entire fleet.”
