New Feature: Initiate landing from the RC

You can now get your drone to come home, and land all from the RC! Previously this used to work only for multirotors, but we’re pleased to announce that this now also works with fixed-wings on DroneDeploy.

Here’s how

Just flip the switch on your transmitter to the RTL position, and your drone will initiate the landing sequence.

How to enable

If you’re running an AgEagle — no need to do anything. It’s been automatically updated, and your firmware is recent enough to make use of it.

Where to set the RTL_AUTOLAND parameter

If you’re not using an AgEagle — you need to set the parameter RTL_AUTOLAND to 2.

You also need to be running the ArduPlane firmware V3.2.0 or later.
