MY CRYPTO WISH THIS CRYPTMAS
Dear Santa –
You know I have so many blessings in my life. And so much to be grateful for. So please don’t bring me anything this year. Please fill your bag with presents for others.
Like the 1.7 billion unbanked people in the world. Golly, Santa, with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, they’ll finally have the personal power to manage their own finances and even start businesses. They’ll be free from the stranglehold of banks, and won’t waste time waiting on lines to turn paychecks into cash. They’ll hold their own funds in secure digital wallets and won’t be forced to pay minimum balance fees, and check fees, and withdrawal fees. Santa, please!
And what about the people who don’t even have banks available? Like the millions in Africa where banks are remote, or unreliable. Can you imagine traveling to another town, miles and miles away, just to get your own money? And finding out the bank has disappeared? How would you feel, Santa, if you flew all the way to Jimmy’s or Janey’s house with the nicest toys on your sleigh, and the place was all boarded up with nobody home? I know you get it, Santa. But when people can receive funds and transfer funds, directly from smart phone to smart phone, without risk of loss or accounts being compromised, imagine how much joy can be spread around the world!
A thought for the small businesses of the world
And here’s another thing digital currency and blockchain can solve, Santa. I’m talking about the millions and millions of micro, small, and medium sized businesses that serve our communities and employ our neighbors. Right here in Little Town, USA.
Why is it that the big businesses get all the advantages? Can’t the little guy get big guy opportunities for once? With dApps that run on top of blockchains — like the dApps Aeryus is creating — blockchain technology can work for every business on the block. That means business planning software — sales and inventory management — tax reporting… Aeryus can unlock all the metadata of a transaction or business agreement and keep that information sorted and available forever in the blockchain. I don’t know about you, Santa, but my belly is rolling like a bowl full of jelly just thinking about it.
Education will light the world!
I know what your thinking, you jolly old elf — sounds like a lot of work for one man with a bag and fewer than a dozen tiny reindeer. That’s why you need helpers! Like the thousands of students who this year will learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency in the Aeryus created curriculum, “One Million African Blockchain Believers.” Already 400 students have taken the course and learned about many of the ways blockchain will change their lives. More importantly, they’ve been given the tools they need to develop their own ideas, their own skills, and their own solutions.
When people around the world take power into their hands, they can do anything!
Well, no, not really anything. They can’t fly through the air, land of rooftops, slide down chimneys, and leave toys under trees. Only you can do that, Santa!
Always remember I love you, Santa. I love how much hope and happiness you bring to little hearts everywhere. So don’t bother about me. Please bring digital currency and blockchain to the world, and I’ll be glad.
Oh, maybe just one tiny thing. Please make predictions of currency values rising come true in 2020! I believe in Bitcoin, Santa!!! Almost as much as I believe in you!!!
