Not only hotels are providing internet amenities to its guests and customers.Airline companies are trying to be on-time with latest technologies as well.

So flyers worldwide have at least some chance today to have in-flight wi-fi.

US airlines are growing rapidly in terms of providing in-flight wi-fi for its customers and frequent flyers.

All the most busy destinations and routes which have a t least 15–20 flights a day in US are quipped with in-flight wi-fi. As for beginning of 2015 www.gogoair.com — the biggest provider of in-flight internet, confirmed that almost 1000 crafts awaiting for equipment installation and that is approximately a half of what is planned for 2015.

As for non-US carriers, research says that there is at 15% chance of in-flight wi-fi.

Speed of in-flight wi-fi

This is probably the most questinable and most challenging part of in-flight convenience of checking Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or news.

Fastest speeds, which are similar to those at home, can be found nowadays on JetBlue and United. That is due adopting ViaSat technologies .

Still the most popular provider for US domestic flights is gogoair.com

Bottom line

Once, I have used in-flight wi-fi and to be frank that was the “shortest” flight ever. Since I was not boring.Take benefit of this amazing feature. This field of extra bonus for flyers will be just developing and growing.
