A bond of sisterhood unlike any other for military spouses around the world

The Air Force Officers’ Spouses club is thrilled to welcome our friends from around the globe to our community! Many of our International Spouses are here on a “tour of duty” with their spouse serving as the Air Attaché or Defense Attaché or assistant attaché representing their country and working in their respective embassies. Their diplomatic duties take up a lot of time. At least two or three evenings a week they are attending ceremonies, meetings, or other obligations in connection with the job. Some attachés are only here for a year while others have a three-year tour. Some of our other International Spouses are married to service members who are here on exchange tours and their spouses work in the Pentagon or other agencies connected to the US Government.

Most of our International spouses have families — and they go through the same trials as we do when we move! Worries about schools, language barriers, customs, and missing their favorite items from home!
We are so happy to have them in our club (they often are members in other service clubs and diplomatic clubs as well). It’s our goal to be good hosts to our friends from around the globe. Please help them feel “at home” while they are here.
