African Women in Politics — Councillor Nonhlanhla Sifumba Shares Her Experience!

The involvement of Women in politics date back in time, although their involvement in political government offices was limited until the turn of the millennium.

We engage with MMC for Community Development in Johannesburg, South Africa, Councillor Nonhlanhla Sifumba. Having been involved in public office for the past 6 years, she was appointed as a Member of the Mayoral Committee in 2016.

We talk to her about her career as a full time politicians, her role as the MMC, her departments programmes and how women in this day in age can benefit from the foundation layed by the women who united 61 yrs ago in South Africa.
