Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a popular tactical shooter game. R6 is a team-based game: 5v5.

The R6 Scene in Africa

The Rainbow Six Scene in Africa is still in it’s infancy, growing over the past 4 years or so, with wide-spread adoption of the game across the different African territories. It’s clear, the love for the game and that adoption is already happening.

Different organisations have played a part in growing the R6 community. Africa Esport Championship’s aim is to accelerate the adoption of the game across the region to enable World-Class talent to be nurtured.

Growing the Competitive Community in Africa

Africa Esports Championship (AEC) is committed to playing our role in growing the professional esports scene on the continent and ensuring that Africa gets the much needed visibility, attention, equality, exposure and support to ensure its continued and sustained growth.

The Inaugural (PC based) Rainbow Six Sub-Saharan Africa Super Series that spanned 5 months, is AEC’s platform to engage African-based R6 team-based professional players to showcase their prowess and understanding of the game.

This year’s inaugural edition saw South-African based teams (limited to 24 teams) come out to battle each other in South Africa’s (and Africa’s) first-ever LAN Grand finals!
