AfroDroids Transmission: Dream Catchers Academy Opening

Hello DroidFam,

We’ve had quite a fun and meaningful second half of March, full of events and happenings for our community, and great news for its social impact !

Let’s take you on a tour of our updates, and let’s start with our proudest moment :

Dreamcatchers School commissioned by Afrodroids:

Afrodroids recently commissioned the Dreamcatchers School, becoming the first free school in Nigeria and possibly Africa fully funded by NFTs.

This school building, managed by the Dream Catchers Academy for Girls program, will provide formal and arts education to 100 indigent / orphaned girls, The Dream Catchers Academy received 20% of the proceeds from the Afrodroids drop.

We called this building: THE DREAM CHASER.

@DreamCatchers Academy for Girls is an initiative of @The Dream Nurture Foundation, under @SeyiOluyole’s leadership. Creating a future for orphaned and indigent girls through quality education, arts and leadership and life skills.

The building was officially commissioned on the 24th of March. Amazing members of the Afrodroid community were in attendance, with our own @OwoAnietie as a special guest, given an exclusive tour of the building, its infrastructure and content.

TWITTER SPACE: COMIC BOOK.

On March 23rd, we held a Space meeting with our community on our official @Afrodroid account, where we went through the roadmap for the year, as well as our accomplishments of the first quarter.

These reports led to the announcement of upcoming events for the community, such as the Superdroid matching ceremony, but we also unveiled the First Two Pages of our Afrodroids Comic Book !

Our community was very excited, as we were, of transforming our story into Comic. They shared that excitement with us after the space meeting on our twitter feeds and community hangouts.

METAVERSE EVENT

The Weekend of March 25th-27th saw our community take part in the most LIT three day #NFTmusic Video Fest! Afrodroids hosted this Metaverse party on our AfroDroids Lab in @crypto voxels.

Along with Meta-foods and Meta-drinks, we brought to our community the most amazing lineup of artists who performed during the video fest including:

@Dyl, @Billyracxx @Arye @Jovian and @WitchProphet, as well as a powerful live DJ set by @Serenaelis on the last day of the event.

We also got a shout out from one of our special holders, who featured us on her twitter profile and some hearty tweets to follow suit.
