Hard Times

When there’s a lot of talk about, some people simply talk about it all. Some people can cover it all no matter what. I wish I were one of those people. I wish I could cover everything that comes to my doorstep.

When there’s a lot of talk about, I’m paralyzed. The over-abundance of material to talk about freezes my work; paralyzes my writing. This is how it goes:

  1. I will have an idea for an article.
  2. Something happened.
  3. I got ideas and should write on it.
  4. I prepare to write on that thing that happened.
  5. Then something else happens. (remember 2?)
  6. Ideas. Should write. (remember 3?)
  7. I prepare to write, getting photos, images… (remember 4?)
  8. SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENS! (see 2 and 5)

A lot of readers who have been long-time readers of my work, probably know me as the “military vet Black guy” who goes hard against police brutality, racism and white supremacy. Who also takes damn good photos of protesters and reactionaries. Current times, as of the time of publishing this one, I’m probably known more as the pro-Palestine, anti-Zionist guy.
