The Alabama Sweet Tea Party Victory

While many have referred to it as a brawl, most of us have treated it as simply a sporting event.

If you’re a pro-Black anti-racist like me and a firm believer in the full liberation of Black people meaning the liberation of us all, then the fight you’ve probably seen by now in Alabama is something to celebrate.

Especially since no one was seriously hurt, and everyone walked away. To be perfectly honest, this country has seen more than enough gun violence for a long minute and a brawl was a sight for sore eyes.

Let me be clear about something right up front. I didn’t come up with the “Alabama Sweet Tea Party,” idea. That was Kendria Bland on TikTok who posted a satirical interpretation of the Avengers in a hilarious skit about the fight. And it’s that hilarity that has made this event so much fun.

We have all had something to say and it all revolves around the white people who ganged up on the Black man getting everything they deserved. Including the lady who kicked him while he was down.
