American History 101
Inspired by the current uproar over critical race theory
Let’s get this straight,
America. You disenfranchise and
terrorize a whole race
for over three-hundred years. Ban
them from your undeserved
privileges for the next one-hundred
years. Disproportionately
fill your prison cells with us through
the present. Yet, you resent
that we don’t applaud your history —
when you know this country
was built on the fruits of our labor.
