Being Called Racist Is More Offensive to White People Than Actual Racism

I’m sick of people who are more offended about the way you talk about a serious issue than the issue itself. I’m equally disgusted by people who feel that these kinds of objections are in any way appropriate.

Here’s an absurd example to illustrate the point:

If you say: “Look, that lumberjack is about to dump that box of puppies into the wood chipper!”

The false actor says: “I happen to be a lumberjack, and I’ve never chopped up any puppies. While I’m sympathetic to the plight of the puppies, it’s important that you avoid massive generalizations that insult large and diverse populations…”

Oh… they just love using words like “diverse” and “generalize.”

Meanwhile, the puppies are getting turned into red mist.

I’ve exaggerated the scenario for emphasis, but really that example isn’t too far removed from the kind of nonsense you actually have to deal with.
