Commentary: Article That Victimizes Blacks for Voting Democrat

--

Commentary on a lengthy Medium article titled “In North Carolina, A Black Couple Has a Message White Liberals and Black Leaders Won’t Like” by Luc Olinga.

This article is an interview with a “successful Black couple” who live in North Carolina (The Bells).

Here we have an example of what it’s like to be in your mid-60s watching Black Republicans repeat the same racist crap from the 1960s. They think they’ve surpassed racism just because they don’t vote Democrat. Hardly.

MAGA is the source and supply of all this divisive and revisionist White history.

Trump and his 3K clan cry victims of a type of Black supremacy that doesn’t exist, with one exception: Black rappers who disparage their own People in exchange for Hollywood floss.

The rappers (those ones, not all of them) are the only Black supremacists here, but they are not unlike Blacks in Africa who sold their own out for sugar cane, colored beads and cacao, not knowing that what they traded their people for, THEY ALREADY OWNED.

Perishing for Lack of Knowledge

How do the French own diamond mines in Africa when the mines aren’t on land that they come from?
How does Olinga speak French and attend Catholic church when that is not his God-given heritage or African nature?
How is it catholicism mixes European paganism with Black Godly inheritance and he can’t tell the difference?

That’s the race piece WE speak of.

It doesn’t make us victims to take note, but it’s hard to see people who live in a colonized land with a colonized mindset chirp like caged birds about Black victims just because we give racists credit where credit is due and just because the lot of us vote Democrat.

I still haven’t tied Mama Lolo spilling the beans on Aunt Lydie’s sin with the Catholic Priest as Mama Lolo making the village fall apart. Because she didn’t hide a sin?

Excuse us, but bringing the sexual indiscretion to public light wasn’t the sin. Aunt Lydie’s actions were.

Olinga might be saying that Black people ‘spilling the beans’ on racist whites is a comparison or contrast of some kind with Black “victimhood”, but should we be quiet and roll over for whites so we won’t be called victims?

If racist shyt is going on and you feel constipated from speaking out, isn’t that what a VICTIM is? It’s like telling rape victims not to tell.

What will happen if we do?

Will the Boogeyman come get us? Will he take away our jobs and business opportunities or our chance to worship a non-existent White Jesus still hanging on a cross 2000 years later?

Hint: He is a risen Savior and conquering Redeemer no longer on a cross.

We don’t need to tell white lies to avoid being called victims.

The Bells are a couple that Olinga espouses as an example of ‘Black success’. But selling Subarus and opening “several” businesses is not the secret to Black success.

That alone speaks volumes.

Example:
A tire salesmen from New Jersey goes to a golf club and is asked “How’s the tire business?” Oh, you know … Up, down, bumpy over the mountains.

The Black businessman shows up and they ask “How’s ALL your businesses?” How do you keep up with them all?, they might be inclined to ask again. He might see he’s the only Black man they allowed in that club because he agrees with them, or he might NOT see it. But…

That ALONE is a sign of lack of success.

How does it take several Black businesses to equal one successful white one?

Uh huh, multiple STREAMS OF INCOME — all that.

I can understand VALUE-added services, but a Black restaurateur with a shoe shop and a $10 dress shop inside who also sells catalog headstones out back just to keep the doors open doesn’t say a lot about success.

Maybe a hustler with a borrowed suit and an empty briefcase doing broke business, but not success.

How long will it be before they come at us with thin slivers of gold in a velveteen jewel case so we can sign up for the Prosperity Gold Soul Train?

You know the one-yeah THAT one — 2 get 4, 4 get 8, 8get 16, 16 get 32, rule of 32x64 = 128, and the money run never ends, so we are led to believe. Crypto and all that, you know.

For all we know, the alleged ‘owner’ (financed by white-owned banks) could be selling guns and drugs out the back door with that storefront facade. We’ve seen drug operations financed by whites masquerade as tax offices and car detail shops in da ‘hood.

We know Black people who appear successful, but are ‘gatekeepers’ for white infiltrates who get their real income by sucking the lifeblood out of Black owners.

Next thing we know, the Black business is replaced with a white one-and the Black man or woman is in prison.

We had every kind of Black business you could name in the 1960s and 70s, now they’re gone. They were bought out or run out of business-and the few left are struggling unless its hair, daycare, food and funerals.

We don’t have victim mentality, we have facts.

They won’t touch our hair unless we tell them not to. They don’t like our children and don’t want them around. They won’t feed us, for the most part, without charging a mint and a grip. And they are still getting uber-rich off all those Black funerals…they own the casket companies and all that spray and glitter and stickers we buy to Gucci-up the eternal boxes, (Gucci=white man), release the balloons or doves, and they own all the grocery stores where we buy the fried chicken and watermelon for the repast. Don’t forget about the liquor store and the weed and the weed box we put the weed in. We don’t own the manufacturing of NONE of that.

Seriously…

Such gaslighting is this Olinga article.

It insinuates that every Black person who votes Democrat has a victim mentality. I’m not anyone’s “victim” and even I see it.

So little has changed in the past 60+ years that we’re actually reliving the past for failing to learn from it the first time. Overlooking Black truth and history is not the key to success.

Yes, the racism is very real, The Bells admit that much, but if true success comes from ‘seizing opportunity and breaking free from narratives that limit one’s potential’, then why did a Black women’s empowerment grant group seize an opportunity to fund Black women’s businesses -just like their white DEI counterparts- get shut down by a white judge?

Women who were excluded from their DEI funds were kept from starting up their own.

Instead of going after the white institutions that deny us, they trashed the Black institution designated to help Black women who were racially denied proper traditional funding.

If our conversation about race is to be limited only to what white people are comfortable with or whatever they give us permission to do or say, isn’t that living under color of perceived freedom? (Hint: American Apartheid?)

Until that is resolved, there are no more ‘deep conversations’ to be had.

The Bells -THANK GOD- admit that we are not imagining the racism, but they sucked up to Republican Trumpism just so they wouldn’t feel like victims.

Telling the 100-percent truth doesn’t make us “victims”.

We are no more victims than a Jewish person who gets Holocaust reparations from our pooled tax funds though we never touched them and had nothing to do with it.

Deal with facts, not white-washed bullshit.

As soon as our ancestors got an income to tax, nearly 300 years later, the money went to subsidize white welfare recipients who could not find work as Overseers-all they knew how to do.

Without slavery, they had no jobs and nowhere to go, so our little itty bitty new income was taxed to subsidize them, not the other way around.

The vast majority of them are still poor to this day.

Trumpism, as did Reaganism, is still making us out as Queens of Welfare, but we had to sue for poor Blacks to be equalized to poor whites just to sit at our own tables that we built to feed them. Opening doors for eternally caged birds who THINK they are free is a waste of time.

We used to call them “sellouts,” or “brown-nosing tokens,” but that doesn’t make the grade any more.

Notably, even highly successful Black people can’t surpass Trump’s type of white superiority. Fame and money is not exempt from the Ol’ Boys and Black Taxes, but they certainly can’t be called victims even if they DO vote Democrat. Why do they think only poor uneducated “unsuccessful” Black people vote Democrat? Isn’t THAT also racist AF?

NOTE: All Black people aren’t impressed by Trump’s affinity for crap rappers either. That’s not a flex for a Black Republican. The rappers do what he pays them to do — use Jim Crow language to disparage us and make Black women shake their assets for coins.

And FYI: Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are shills for white folk, not leaders for Black people. We figured that out about 50 years ago. Where were YOU?

Trump uses rappers to encourage Black people to act stupid and shut up, calling all of us felons who love him for his crimes and gold sneakers.

If he’s close to rappers who have lost their way when it comes to REALLY being Black and Proud, then he must be the one paying them to satisfy his own racist and sexist fetishes.

i.e., “Those who do NOT remember the past are DOOMED to repeat it.”
