America Is NOT Forcing Latinos to Practice Anti-Black Racism.

Latino racism is not a result of living in a racist American society.

Many Latino activists are blaming the anti-Black racism in their community on White Supremacy in USA. They are saying anti-Black racism is something Latinos learn living in racist America.

They claim Latinos practice anti-Blackness to assimilate into the dominant (white) culture where they would have access to resources that the dominant culture hoards for itself.

They claim Latinos only do racism to advance in American society. Latinos practice anti-Black racism because that is the only way they can be successful in America.

This claim is taken as such an axiomatic truth that even the Pulitzer winner Black writer Brent Staples posted a tweet echoing that claim.

This might have been true in the 19th or early 20th centuries when there were no global mass media. But not now. Not in the 21st century. Not in 2022.
