No One is Born a ‘Slave’

Or a slave owner

The word slave comes from the medieval Latin word sclavus and was originally used to describe people of Slavic ethnicity. ‘Slav’ was a catch-all term for Indo-European migrants who shared a common language root. ‘Slav’ originally meant ‘word’ and indicated many different tribes who could understand each other’s words.
