Apologies that the title doesn’t really fit this article, and this isn’t the typical AfroSapiophile piece, but I feel it is needed right now.

It feels like the night before a loved one’s funeral.

You know the day is coming no matter how much you dread it. It is the final farewell of an era…of a lifetime.

The only thing is we haven’t had a wake, family and friend visits to the house, or deliveries of chicken and drinks for our consumption.

We’ve kind of been here before when Trump assumed office after Obama, but now America is circling the block with the most toxic and only felon President we have ever had.

Is it me or have we not heard from President Biden or Vice President Harris much in the last several days? I saw a Facebook post from President Biden and a social media post of Vice President Harris carving her name on the Vice President’s desk. But that’s it.

I believe I recall seeing that Vice President Harris gave a farewell speech, but I don’t feel it was publicized much. I have not been under a rock. My usual news outlets said nothing about this.

And all the affinity groups and text messages have been silent on outgoing…
