Source Power

I’ve allowed myself to be used
As a power source, in the past
No more
I am powered by source
Free to light up my own life
And the lives of those
Deserving of my luminescence

The intensity of my glow
Always proves too much
For any individual
They cling despite the burn
Desperate for the heat
That ultimately consumes them

I was made to illuminate the world
Too much for a single soul
For none can contain
That which ignites
Unites
And fights for freedom
