The GOP Killing Fields
Polling numbers show that Americans across the spectrum support sensible gun reform in overwhelming numbers. Yet, the gun lobby is a significant source of campaign financing for those who willingly prostrate themselves. Republicans, who care more about maintaining power than preventing the mass murder of children, know they must earn and preserve A+ ratings from the gun lobby to sustain the flow of money. They do so in two primary ways.
