Shedeur is a college football quarterback with high hopes of joining the NFL. Amanda Seales holds a Masters degree in African-American studies with high hopes for America.
When Shedeur gave alleged unimpressive interviews to select NFL teams, it turned the NFL off from him — allegedly.
When Amanda gives truth-to-power messages meant to educate and impact, it turns Black people off from her — not allegedly.
When Shedeur is not picked in two rounds of the 2025 NFL draft, people want to say it is because he is Black, articulate, and comes from a good pedigree; so, the NFL wants to humble him.
When Amanda is seemingly blackballed, people want to say it’s because she’s too difficult and not likable — not that she’s Black, articulate, and has a good pedigree marked by multiple college degrees.
