The Scapegoating Of Fani Willis and Kamala Harris
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was recently cleared by Judge Scott McAfee to continue her RICO case against Donald Trump and his co-defendants for their involvement in trying to steal the 2020 election. This was a slap in the face for Trump and his co-conspirators who alleged that Willis had a romantic relationship with special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, that gave the appearance of impropriety and financially benefited Willis. They also claimed DA Willis and special prosecutor Wade lied about when their relationship started under oath.
Yet, the damage has been done.
Today, Judge McAfee heard arguments from Trump’s attorney that the case should be dismissed because Trump’s political speech was protected by the First Amendment. McAfee also cleared the way for Trump and his co-defendants to appeal his decision not to disqualify Willis or dismiss the case.
What do you all think about this judge?
Since the indictment last August, Willis has said she wants to start the trial this month. She’s stuck to that timeline even though there are less than four days left in March.
