CEO of Deloitte

As CEO of Deloitte, Cathy Engelbert leads one of the largest professional services organizations in the United States. With an impressive staff of more than 85,000 professionals, the firm provides services to over 80 percent of the Fortune 500. As a guest at After Hours, Cathy Engelbert delighted a sold-out crowd at the largest After Hours event to date.

Cathy’s talk at After Hours was on re-framing the “future of work” as the “work of the future” — something she sees as exciting and visionary, and a topic she most recently addressed with leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

She touched on three crucial pieces: (1) how companies embrace automation and artificial intelligence, (2) rethinking how companies can reinforce and enhance the human element, and (3) how companies build the organization of the future.

The crowd described Cathy’s talk and Q&A as nothing short of mesmerizing. The venue might have helped to set such a mood for such a glowing review (glowing clouds pictured below).

This event was held at Norwood, a private arts club in a beautiful 5-floor Chelsea townhouse that brings together creatives from the NYC community for talks and events, such as speaking engagements, art classes, film screenings, music performances, cocktail tastings and culinary experiences.

After Hours is a Cornell Tech alumni run event where we host industry leaders at the coolest NYC (and as of recently, SF) venues we can find.

Interested in speaking? Know of a great space to host? Kind enough to sponsor an event? 🙏
