After Interview v 2.0 is here!
More features to help you get the job you want.
It’s been a month since we had a successful day on ProductHunt for our MVP version. Luckily we were able to get our first 70 users from that and got some valuable feedback from them and people on ProductHunt that helped me decided what to improve and features to add for the v2.
We sent emails out to all of our users and talked to friends and family members to get as much as feedback that will define what After Interview will become in the future. From all those feedback, I decided to implement those new features below for v2 and see where it will take us.
Set your job status
Now you can set status to your interview. You can set it from Job applied to Accepted the offer/No offer through out your entire interview process. Since we noticed that lots of users are using the app as a tracking purposes of jobs they applied, it got on to the list of features that are implemented for the v2.
Edit interviews and my feedback
One of the obvious features we were missing on the first version. You can now edit your interview and the feedback that you give to the interviewer.
Give feedback to interviewer
One of the biggest challenges we are facing is to encourage companies to give interview feedback to interviewees and this was the most feedback we got from our first 70 users. I wish I can come up with the solution that gives enough incentive to companies to give out feedback to every single applicants they get. However, I take this as a life time challenges that we need to solve consistently as we get more users and feedback.
Analytics on companies
This also comes down to encouraging companies to give interview feedback to interviewees. We decided to add the Companies screen that shows all the companies that people added to After Interview and the response rates from them.
Help us give you better data on this companies screen by using After Interview and ask for feedback to the companies you applied. More data allows us to provide more accurate information and ability to encourage companies to care more about candidates they get.
We started this project with a belief that interview feedback will help you get the job you want and have been consistently thinking to make this entire process as smooth as possible.
