Afterschool’s Breakthroughs and New Heights
When I came up with the idea of Afterschool, our intention was to solve a problem with technology, a problem I experienced firsthand as a parent. We wanted to give parents a hassle-free access to all after-school activities available sorted by location, category and pricing.
Since 2015, Afterschool has partnered with more than 500 activity providers and were happy with what we were providing. We are seeing a rapid rise of parents using our platform, almost doubling our reach month on month. I believe that’s a good measure that we are doing a job.
If you’ve seen our mobile and web app from last year to now, we’ve changed a lot! This has happened because we wanted to offer more value to our parents and partners and the pressure of knowing that there’s competition out there. It was 2016 when we added more categories and expanded our offering to include schools and nurseries to accept admission inquiries.
Enter 2017, we wanted every school and activity provider to have its own app and booking platform. We launched the white label solution that comes with a dedicated mobile app and a Gold Standard cloud-based scheduling system that can help our partners streamline their operations and stand out from competition.
However, the best from Afterschool is yet to come. Afterschool’s a long way off from its full potential.
We have launched our ICO last September 26, to decentralize our platform using Ethereum blockchain technology with the issuance of our own tokens. The Afterschool Token will be used as a mode of payment and to incentivize both parents and providers through a reward system.
Afterschool will be the first of its kind in implementing this online system and creating its own digital currency. Hopefully in the future, we can have the Afterschool token become the go-to digital currency for all payments and transactions across the education industry as a whole.
I have great confidence in our two-sided business model, and this launch will support that along with our solid business plan to utilize the fund proceeds from this ICO
Future Ahead
Afterschool is a company that never stops growing and pushing boundaries. We look forward to a bright future filled with launches and new milestones. We have a great product here with so much potential, and now the only thing that’s left is how to replicate it and its success in more places. None of us ever thought that we will find ourselves at this point. But me and capable team are keeping our eyes on the prize. It’s a big vision and I believe that the bigger that is, the more small steps are required to reach it. We’re ready!
