Best Mindset To Adapt While Facing Difficulties.
Wise Words From An Ordinary Person Who Survived 30 Years of Unjust Confinement To Liberate A Nation out of Oppression.
A mindset helps us see things from a different perspective that remains hidden in plain sight. It highlights the things to keep and the things to let go. It makes us strong and capable of facing challenges that come our way.
A positive mindset allows us to be more determined, capable, and notable.
In our day-to-day life, we are presented with many challenges, be they from the past, present, or future. Many succumb to the challenges and call it quits.
While some overcome those challenges and move ahead, the rest remain stuck in the comfort zone that they feel is their only destiny.
Sometimes those challenges are unseen and they corner us. The same happened to Nelson Mandela, who was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for nearly three decades.
His physical body was confined within a prison cell at Pollsmoor Prison, 6.4 x 5.4 metres. However, the mindset that he embodied during that confinement helped him to emerge as a leader that led Africa out of apartheid.
He rose to prominence as the world’s most famous political prisoner, a symbol of the anti-apartheid movement. He became an inspiration to millions who believed in the ideal of human equality.
He said:
I never lose. Either I win or learn.
The perfect way to tackle the curve balls that life throws at us. These words inspire us to be firm, keep an eye out, and hit it out of the park.
Just stay there if you miss one or two. But, the most important thing is to stay in the position and be ready to face the next ball. The most crucial point is to stay put and never let go off the bat. Just wait, improvise, and hit it out of the park.
In our quest for excellence, we might face many challenges in life. Some may hit us hard and bend our knees. During those times, this growth mindset will help us rise. It does not paint the outcome of our effort in black or white; it helps us see the immense possibilities in grey. We may face defeat, but it is not the end of the road. Trying to learn from that defeat, optimising the approach and continuing the journey will eventually guide us to our destination. However, the one way to not get to the desired destination is to give up after a defeat. Just continue the journey, even in the face of defeat.

You are not defeated when you lose. You are defeated when you quit.
So, adopt this mindset and overcome the challenges.
