Death in the time of Coronavirus

How do you mourn alone?

Photo by Sandy Millar on Unsplash

When my father died, my cousins drove from nearby states to comfort us. His best friends said the service before he was cremated. Neighbors brought food and gathered. While we were heartbroken, we were nurtured by a community of mourners and well-wishers.

This made it easier to let go. It made it easier for us to mourn.
