Travelling is on everyone’s bucket list. When you ask people about their favourite pastime, the most common answer you’re likely to get is travelling. The idea of visiting new places, interacting with new people, trying different food etc. sounds fascinating. It makes us feel different from who we really are. Believe it or not, travelling is an escape from our mundane or maybe not so mundane life. But the question is, how many of us are actually able to check it off the bucket list? This article enlists a few facts that will help you grade your lust for wandering. Read to find out your score :)

  1. If you are a true admirer of the beauty of the world and believe in the fact that the world does not start where you live and end at what you do. Give yourself 5 points for, at least believing in the fact that there exist places in the world (other than your house, your office, the nearby dollar store etc.) that you haven’t been to.
  2. If you watch Discovery or any of its sister channels on TV, you’re probably interested in knowing what else is happening around the globe. Give yourself 8 points for, the interest that you have in global affairs. Once you’re done grading yourself, pack your bags, book your tickets and leave. After all, it's better to be somewhere and see for yourself than watch it on TV or the internet a million times.
  3. You don’t need to grade yourself at all if you’re an extrovert. Trust me, you were born to wander. The whole vibe of your personality is to see new places, meet different people and learn something new every day. You just need to awaken the long slept pig-like lazy vibe, that has restricted you from going places.
  4. If you’re an American, Indian, Australian or just anyone and crave for Italian, Chinese or Thai food! You may not have a thing for exploring but, your taste buds surely do. Give yourself 9 points, for the love of food. All you have to do is set sail for the original taste expedition. Now, that you have a cause (food/taste/spices) to travel, you are going to cherish the journey forever.
  5. If ‘rejuvenation’ is your word, ‘travelling’ has to be your thing. Give yourself 10 on 10 for treating travelling not as a casual break but as a process of rejuvenating. After all, travelling is therapeutic. It doesn’t only let you discover, it also helps in awakening the inner peace by giving a new life to the soul.
