the force of nature.

See it.

The fire in my eyes.
The embers,
burning fervently bright.

Feel it.

The ocean,
coming in tidal waves,
from my fists.

Listen.

Tectonic plates shifting,
pivoting on the sole of my feet,
as kick flies, high and low.

Feel it.

The wind blowing softly,
the flower dances,
singing a battle cry.

I am.

Strong, resilient, brave.

I am.

In harmony, in tune, in sync.

I am.

The force of nature.

Author’s note: For some reason, my boxing class felt more intense yesterday. This poem was conceived as my fists stroke and my legs left the ground.

I felt it.

I felt Mother Nature moved.

With me, in me.
