They say Growing Up is Hard, and it sometimes truly is!

I have had extremely low phases twice in the last four years. I don’t know if those were cases of depression or mental stress, but it wasn’t great for sure. I’d welcome mornings with tear-filled eyes, experience the feeling of helplessness and confusion, and pretend to be tough at times and try to let out the plethora of emotions at others.

Fortunately, I had a very caring family and a group of friends with me during both these times. They’d be patient and listen to me crib over small things, listen to my needless tantrums, and also continue to push me towards positive thinking.

The other day I was talking to a friend when he said, lack of communication and support from loved ones is one of the main reasons why suicides happen because of depression — the state when you are too full of emotions and don’t have an outlet for them.

If you are one of those who are suffering from extreme inexplicable emotions, don’t deny getting help. You’ll definitely find someone who’ll listen to you. You need to prepare yourself to talk and let out your emotions. If you are one of those whose support someone else is seeking, be ready to listen and be there for them.
Keep an open mind and listen to their stories, troubles, and pains.

Be a friend and not just an acquaintance!
