What if God has given animals dominion over us? Would our world and life be better?

Watching the news a few nights ago, and the people of St. Margaret’s Bay in Portland, Jamaica, are complaining about the sea taking away their homes and property due to soil erosion. The water was coming inland and eating away their land for the past thirty years. Scientists have been warning our world of the dangers of climate change for decades.
